“The power of finding beauty in the humblest things makes home happy and life lovely” Louisa May Alcott

A summer day at the beach, laundry drying in the sun, a drive in the country, a majestic lighthouse…these are a few of my favorite things! My paintings are a snapshot of moments and memories from my life. Idealized snapshots of small beautiful things and fleeting moments in the sun that brought me joy and happiness. I am inspired by these snapshots and I aim to capture them on canvas as a sort of unwritten journal of my life. My hope is that you will find my paintings uplifting, energizing, and yet calming, and that they will help you to slow down and connect with the beauty that’s all around us.

Treena Rice-Buehler, a Wisconsin native, began oil painting after being gifted her first wooden box art set for Christmas at age ten. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in Graphic Design. She went on to freelance as an illustrator for various greeting card and paper product companies while moving around the country from the east coast to the west coast. In recent years, Treena has happily returned to her Wisconsin roots and her first love, oil painting. Treena considers herself a self-taught artist in oil painting. She resides in a village outside of Green Bay, Wisconsin with her husband, two daughters, and one rambunctious Pembroke Welsh Corgi.
